European Round: All the winning designs


Students from across the continent participated in the European round of the Fur Free Alliance’s inaugural DESIGN AGAINST FUR! competition.

On 15 May, judges from the fashion and design world gathered at the stylish showrooms of the Roberto Capucci fashion house in Milan, Italy, to choose winners and honourable distinction awards from over 300 entries representing 13 European countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and the Ukraine.

The distinguished panel of judges consisted of:

Roberto Bennati – Account director, Dorland Agency, Roma
Franco Bruccoleri – Chairman of Capucci Corp., Milano
Michele Mariani – Art Director, Armando Testa, Roma
Maurizio Sala – Creative director, Armando Testa, Roma
Nick Parton – Senior creative director, Ogilvy Public Relations, London
Ricardo Pereira da Silva – 25 Rãs Marketing, Porto & Lisbon

Then on 26 June, three art students of the Institut Saint-Luc de Tournai and Sint-Lucas Gent, were awarded first, second and third prizes in Design Against Fur’s European Round.

The awards ceremony, organised by FFA affiliate GAIA, took place at the Résidence Palace in Brussels.
